Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information Capperly (“Capperly,” “we,” “us”) collects through our website and mobile apps (together, the “Service”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account information from your chosen sign-in provider (Google or Apple), such as your name, email address, and profile image. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email feature, we receive only the private relay address Apple provides.

Content you create in the app, such as tracked bets, parlays, notes, followed cappers, and your preferences (odds format, display currency, notification settings, theme).

Subscription and payment status. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Checkout and card management happen on Lemon Squeezy’s hosted pages, so we do not receive or store your card number. We retain only the transaction and subscription status needed to manage your access.

Device and technical data needed to operate and secure the Service, including a device push token (if you enable notifications), app version, device type and operating system, IP address, and basic in-app activity used for security, troubleshooting, and improving the Service.

3. How We Use Information

To provide and improve the Service, personalize your experience (odds format, display currency, notifications), process and manage subscriptions, send you notifications you have enabled, respond to support requests, and keep the platform secure and free from abuse. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

4. Push Notifications

If you enable notifications on a mobile device, we store a push token so we can send alerts such as new picks from cappers you follow and updates on your tracked bets. Notifications are delivered through Apple and Google push services. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings or by signing out, which removes the token for that device.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

On the web we use cookies to keep you signed in and local storage to remember preferences such as your theme. On mobile we use secure on-device storage for your session. These are required for the Service to function; we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Third-Party Services

We share data with service providers strictly to operate the Service: Supabase (database and storage), Lemon Squeezy (payment processing as Merchant of Record), Google and Apple (authentication and push notification delivery), Expo (push notification infrastructure), and Vercel (hosting). These providers process your data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only to the service providers described above, when required by law or valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety, and security of Capperly and its users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we will notify you). Content you choose to make public, such as a public capper profile, is visible to other users of the Service.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, tax, accounting, or security obligations.

9. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings within the app. Deleting your account removes your personal data and associated content from the Service, subject to the limited legal retention described above.

10. Your Privacy Rights

You can access and update your information in Settings and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain uses. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and residents of the EEA and UK have rights under the GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for adults aged 21 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. International Users

Capperly is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the app.
